- Forged Carbon steel(5/8"∼1-1/2")
- Cast alloy steel(1-3/4"∼2-3/4")
- Normalizing and Self colored.
- Ratings are based on recommended use with 6×7, 6×19 or 6×37, IPS or XIP(EIP), XXIP(EEIP), RRL, FC or IWRC wire rope.
- One groove used on sockets 5/8"∼3/4", Sizes 7/8"∼1-1/2"use 2 grooves, Sizes 1-5/8" and larger use 3 grooves.
1. General Theory
- Never apply more force than the socket's assigned Safe Working Load(SWL/WLL) rating.
- Socket use
- 1. Anchoring system for tubes/pipes
- 2. Anchor wires of dredging material
- 3. Anchor cables of oil platforms
- 4 .Towing cables
- 5. Cables for construction, like bridges, roof constructions etc.
- Open / Closed spelter sockets are made from forged high tensile steel(JIS G 4501) and cast Alloy steel, on request special sockets can be supplied.
- Open / Closed spelter sockets are self-colored and wedge sockets are in color orange.
- Galvanized sockets can be supplied on request.
2. Before Using
- Must be take a provide personal protection equipment. (Such as footwear, gloves, Crash helmet, etc.)
- Working place always shall be the lighting.
- Shall be work, before remove dangerous article in the surroundings.
- Seizing : Seize the wire rope or strand as shown using soft annealed iron wire.

- Brooming is done after wire rope cables has been placed into the socket.
- When using resins always follow eactly the directions of use on the packing.
- Socketing only to executed by specialists of slings shops.
3. Using
- Never make a wrong application of the rule. (Overloading & Improper use can result in injury.) (See Figure 3.)
- Over the 20kg weight products' using, must be use an appliance tool. (Forklift, crane, hoist, etc.)
- Where apply, must locate outside the danger zones. (A falling load may cause serious injury or death.)
- Never repair, alter, rework, or reshape a hook by welding, heating, burning, bending or grinding.
4. Important
- Should extreme circumstances or shock loading be applicable, this must be well taken into account on selecting the product to be used.
